Bridging Capital and Opportunities / Connecting Capital with Opportunities
The name “Grand Anicut” is inspired by the world’s oldest functional water regulating structure Kallannai
Kallannai is a check dam built 2000 years ago across River Cauvery at Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India. This dam is an epitome testimony of ancient engineering skills and an inspiration to many modern-day dams. The idea behind the dam's construction was to divert the river to the delta districts, thereby boosting irrigation.
Anicut Capital’s founding principles are centered around this concept.
